1. What we collect

When you use NCLEX Up, we collect the minimum data needed to run the product:

Account info: your email address, hashed password (if you create one), and a unique user ID.
Purchase info: when you buy the NCLEX Pass Pack, our payment processor (Lemon Squeezy) collects your name, email, billing address, and payment details. We do not see or store your card number — only a confirmation that the purchase happened.
Study progress:which questions you've answered, whether you got them right, and your daily streak. This is what powers your readiness snapshot and stats.
Usage data: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) for security and to fix bugs.

2. What we don't collect

We don't collect health information, government IDs, or any sensitive personal data beyond what's listed above. We don't sell your data to anyone.

3. How we use your data

Run the product (show your progress, sync across devices, send your receipt)
Process refunds when requested
Email you transactional messages (purchase confirmation, password reset). We don't send marketing emails without your opt-in.
Measure conversion of marketing campaigns (e.g. Google Ads) — we use industry-standard tools like Google Analytics 4 for this. You can opt out with browser controls or extensions.
Improve the question bank — if you use the Report button on a question, that report is reviewed by us.

4. Who we share data with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the product. None of them sell your data.

Google Firebase — authentication and database storage for your account and progress
Lemon Squeezy — payment processing and customer receipts
OpenAI— used only when you type a topic into the "Scan Notes" feature, to generate a question on demand. Your topic input is sent to OpenAI under their data-use terms and is not used to identify you.
Google Analytics — anonymized site analytics

5. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser localStorage to remember whether you're signed in, to save your progress between sessions, and to measure analytics. You can clear these at any time in your browser settings, but you may need to sign in again afterward.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

See what data we have about you
Correct inaccurate data
Delete your account and associated data
Export your study progress
Opt out of analytics tracking

To exercise any of these, email support@nclexup.com from your account email. We respond within 14 days.

7. Data retention

We keep your account and progress data as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we delete your profile and progress within 30 days. Purchase records may be retained longer to comply with accounting and tax requirements.

8. Children

NCLEX Up is intended for nursing students preparing for the NCLEX-RN, who are typically 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, email us and we will delete it.

9. International users

NCLEX Up is operated for an audience in the United States. If you access the service from outside the U.S., your data may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. or other countries where our service providers operate.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated "last updated" date.
